The Beauty Of Christ's Bride

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.

Revelation 21:9

Marriage is a metaphor for Jesus’ relationship with His Church.  Earthly marriage is a picture (or it’s supposed to be) of my relationship with Christ.  In Revelation the beauty of the Bride is unmatched!  She reflects the Glory of the One who redeemed her.

I think of Boaz who redeemed Ruth.  I think of Hosea who married a prostitute; an unfaithful wife.  Paul wrote about the mystery of marriage, but was talking about Jesus and His Bride, the Church (Ephesians 5:25-33).

Thank You, Lord, for loving me so completely.  Thank You for making me holy and blameless in Your sight.  Only You can do that!  Thank You for the glorious future You have decided to give Your Bride, the Church.  Be glorified through me today.
