Pressure To Conform

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

Revelation 14:12

This same phrase was used in yesterday’s reading (Revelation 13:10).  Clearly there is a great conflict between good and evil.  The pressure will be great in that day to give in and receive the number of the beast on your forehead… but God’s people need to endure.

I can see the same conflict in these days.  It’s not as pressure-packed as what Revelation is describing, but still, God’s people need patient endurance to forsake the things of this world and to live for Christ.

Every time I decline an idol, in order to worship Jesus, that's a good decision.

Lord Jesus, You are the Alpha and Omega.  Help me see You clearly this day so that I can encourage people and live for You fully.
